Since opening Beals + Thomas over 25 years ago John has remained committed to providing daily oversight of the firm's larger assignments involving master planning, environmental impact analysis, and permitting.
Along with his professional work, John prides himself on his many volunteer efforts. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Trustees of Reservations and offers his skills to the Land Conservation and Field Operations Committees. He also serves on the Fay School Board of Trustees and provides advice to the school's Facilities Committee. In addition , John serves on the advisory boards of the Conservation Law Foundation, the Charles River Watershed Association and the Putnam Conservation Institute.
John is also an avid golfer and cyclist, annually riding in the Pan Mass Challenge.
